Wow! A baby is born and not just any baby. This baby would touch the world, in a way no baby has ever or will ever touch the world. This baby is God in human form. Born of a virgin. And laying in a manger in a stable in a small town. His birth was honored by shepherds and by kings, lead by a bright star in the sky. Even the animals honored the baby. Little did these people know that He would be hated and people would plan to kill Him. They only knew Him as a kind gentle man, walking about and telling thousands of people about how to live and the world of God. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Praise God for coming down to earth and teaching us so many things to mention here. All I can say is for you to get on your knees and praise Him who gives us life and love Him with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul. (John 13:29-30)

I would like to share two short stories that I found, by Max Lucado.
The virgin birth is more, much more, than a Christmas story; it is a picture of how close Christ will come to you. The first stop on his itinerary was a womb. Where will God go to touch the world? Look deep within Mary for an answer
Better still, look deep within yourself. What he did with Mary, he offers to us! He issues a Mary-level invitation to all his children. “If you’ll let me, I’ll move in!”

The second story goes like this: Somehow Mary knows she is holding God. So this is he. She remembers the words of the angel, “His kingdom will never end.”
He looks like anything but a king. His face is prunish and red. His cry, though is strong and healthy, is still the helpless and piercing cry of a baby. And he is absolutely dependent upon Mary for his will-being.

Majesty in the midst of the mundane.

Brothers and sisters, my prayer for you this day is that you have a joyous celebration at His birthday party. I pray that you have left the door unlocked and open, so He can enter. That you have left all the doors of your heart open so that He can see that you have kept nothing from Him. Again, have a Happy Birthday party while on your knees. and all of God’s people shouted “Amen! Amen! I shall be so!”
