Greeting Brothers and sisters. What a pleasure it is to come to you once again, in the name of our Savior. He continues to lead us, if we let Him.
Tonite we continue counting down the nights until the great Birth of Jesus. Tonight is “ten lords a-leaping” which I believe is the 10 commandments . God gave us these as a set of guide lines to live by. Are we following through and keeping His commandments in our lives?
The devotional I was reading when during my quiet time in my “man cave” was about the Spiritual ABC’s I believe that it goes right along with the 10 Commandments. ABC’s means Adversity Builds Character. I am sure as we attempt to live by God’s word, we have Adversity.
Today you have already had or will have a problem. Few days in life are trouble free. Most of our problems are minor irritants, but maybe you’re going through a crisis just now. In any case, God is more concerned about building your character (teaching us to live by his commandments) than solving your problems, though He can do both.

Every trial is an unfolding lesson that draws us nearer to Him. Every failure teaches us faith. Every hurt nudges us toward holiness. Every disappointment becomes His appointment. Our struggles can be Christ’s schoolroom where we learn the spiiritual ABCs that stand us in good stead for the future.

Brothers and sisters, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience and makes us mature and complete, lacking in nothing.

Father, I ask you to take and mold each of us on Your wheel of life, like a potter molds clay and if we are a little wrong, please move Your hands over us and make us perfect in Your eyes. Father please keep all of our soldiers who are in harm’s way encircled by Your arms and allow Your angels to fight any battles that need to be fought. And bring them all back home to their loved ones safe and sound, in your Son’s name and shed blood I pray, Amen.
