Well, brother and sisters, I realize that it has been a while since I last posted and I am sorry. But a lot of things have been happening in my life. I am not using that as an excuse, just an explanation.

As you know from my last post I was in the process of writing my talk for the Men’s Walk to Emmaus weekend #122. You may also remember that I said how worried I was as I would not be allowed to mention our Savior, in my talk. I also agonized over the talk as it would be the first talk of the weekend, setting the floor, for the weekend. My pastor was the one to suggest that I was setting the foundation for the rest of the talks. Well, Friday morning dawned and I was still restless from tossing and turning all night long with worry. I nervously went to the prayer chapel and had prayer with the rest of the team in the chapel. I was escorted to the conference room and then left on own. I will tell you, that the moment I walked down between the tables and stood in front of the men, my nerves seemed to still and my stomach stopped quivering. I got through my talk and immediately went back to the chapel for prayer. Brothers and sisters I must say that I felt a big weight lifted from my shoulders. I was still a little sore that I was not allowed to talk about my Lord.

I will try to tell you more in my next writings, until then, may the Lord bless you and keep you.

Isn’t it interesting that before we talk to a crowd we get so fretful but when we start to talk about something we really believe in, our energy changes to enthusiasm, and the nerves fall away. You will have to let me know what your “talk” was about, since you couldn’t mention our Savior.
